Häberle Newsletter 1-2011
| You are receiving this newsletter because you are a client of Häberle & Co. GmbH or are in contact with us concerning our business. We are sending this issue of the newsletter AS A ONE OFF on the issues of special constructions in the float, ball and container construction sector. If you would like us to send you information in the future about innovative float constructions and prototypes, then please register for our newsletter via this link. The issues, which we will publish about every six months in the future, deal with extraordinary constructions on the threshold for high pressure and low fluid densities. Dear readers,We frequently construct float prototypes, which are on the borderline of the technical feasible and are rarely produced in major quantities. The requirements on the material density and pressure resistance are often a challenge. For this reason, we would like to present some of these special constructions to you. In this newsletter, we will deal with the issues of:

Titanium Ball Floats up to 220 bar (Bursting Pressure)This magnetic float made of titanium with pipe routeing and a diameter of 50 mm was produced in such a way using a special type of welding that it retains pressure up to 220 bar and can be used for an operating pressure of about 150-160 bar. However, a disadvantage is the high density of the float, which will float in a medium with a minimum of 0.95-1.0g/cm3 (water/oil) due to its density of 0.9 g/cm³. Technical details about this » Cylinder Floats made of Titanium up to 260 bar (Bursting Pressure) for Fluids from 0.6g/cm³This cylinder float with 90 mm diameter has it “in it” in the truest sense of the word. Through a very elaborate special internal construction, which only led to the desired result after several prototypes, we managed to produce this type of float for a condensate drain. Our European client could not find a float that fulfilled these technical requirements at any other supplier’s. Technical details about this » Special Chain Floats made of Titanium with Cage Constructions for high Pressures (Test Pressure 35 bar) and Fluids from 0.47g/cm³This float is really something very extraordinary ... As a general rule, chain floats are nothing new. However, it is extremely difficult to create more than 3-4 balls in an absolutely straight row. A guide pipe for stabilisation is not possible for this type of structure, as it would reduce the required volume. So, we came up with the idea of producing a very light cage construction, which is still stable enough that the construction withstands even somewhat rougher environments. The titanium balls themselves are only put inside the cage loose. The top ball, which has a magnet, was attached permanently to the cage construction. Technical details about this » Bypass Float Switches in more cost-effective Design of Stainless Steel/Titanium for Operating Pressure above 100 bar (Test Pressure 130 bar)For a special application in the steam sector, we designed a bypass float switch for a client, which withstands a minimum test pressure of 130 bar. It was not just the container with several process connections that had to prove itself in the pressure test. The fitted float switch with titanium float also had to prove itself. Another difficulty here was the non-metallic sealing of the float switch screw with a 2” thread. The complete construction was designed to be explosion-proof. If needed, certification concerning this can be provided. A lot of development work ultimately led to an outstanding result. The costs for this product are low in relation to others on the market. |
