Other things I like ... apart from producing floats

Why putting a personal page on a company's website, you may wonder. Well, the idea behind it was to give some insights in my private life instead of the usual official words or a prosaic curriculum vitae. I think it's okay to know more about the person behind the company that produces your float. And of course, I would be glad to hear whether you like my website or perhaps don't like it at all, so feel free to send me an e-mail..

By the way, it is not so easy to describe oneself, so I'll just start writing down what's on my mind. Of course, there will be future updates..

I was born in Bavaria in 1949. Later I moved to Ludwigshafen. If you want to know more about this city: 
It is 10 minutes from Mannheim (both cities are situated on the shores of the river Rhine), and about 20 minutes from Heidelberg. West of the city lies the Palatinate, famous for its Wine Route and – at least in Summer – a little like Italy with its warm climate, sunshine, wine, and good food.

In Summer, I enjoy riding my Harley-Davidson Road King FLH, the strong sound of its engine roaring in my ears, carrying me away from my desk for a while; a sound that the Japanese so far were unable to copy ... maybe the Chinese will succeed in it, who knows?

Also in Summer, I often take holiday trips to France or Italy with some friends. Last year we rode across the Alsace to Orléans. This year it's Italy again. Perhaps I can persuade my wife to ride along with me, as she is from Italy – which may also explain why I fell in love with that country...
