Material

All our floats and spheres are made according to your individual specifications.

The material used for the float depends on the relevant substance, e.g. copper for foodstuffs, stainless steel for lightly corrosive liquids, and titanium or even hafnium (very expensive) for highly corrosive substances. The properties and specifications for the individual materials can be found in the relevant material specification sheets.

The most common materials for floats are:

  • Aluminium
  • Stainless Steel
  • Copper
  • Brass
  • Titanium
  • Hastelloy

However, we also process special materials such as:

  • Tantalium
  • Circonium
  • Hafnium
  • Silver
  • Gold

and a few other special materials (information will be gladly supplied upon request).
